Russia has declared a “silence regime” in Ukraine

The Russian Ministry of Defense announced the introduction of a “silence regime” in Ukraine on March 5. It will take effect from 10:00 Moscow time.

A press release from the Russian military department says that during the “silence regime” agreed with the Ukrainian side, humanitarian corridors will be opened to evacuate civilians from Mariupol and Volnovakha.

An agreement on humanitarian corridors was reached following the results of the second round of Russian-Ukrainian talks held on Thursday, March 3, in Belovezhskaya Pushcha.
