The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland reported that the authorities of this country are ready to immediately redeploy to the US Rammstein airbase in Germany all the MiG combat aircraft available to the Polish Air Force, free of charge and immediately, SmartNews reports.
The Americans, in turn, will hand over the planes to the Ukrainian army. In return, the Polish authorities are asking the Americans to provide them with used combat aircraft with similar operational capabilities and are ready to start negotiations on the cost of such.
The Poles are also suggesting that other NATO allies that have MiG aircraft at their disposal do the same.
Apparently, in this way the Poles are trying to avoid “formal guilt” before Russia, transferring the planes not directly to the Ukrainians, but to the Americans.
